That’s why we’d like to support you on your journey into parenthood and family life with two blessing services for this time:
Expecting a child is exciting, wonderful, and sometimes frightening, surprising or long-awaited. In any case, a lot will change. We’d like to send you off on this journey with God’s blessing.
Three times a year, following the ‘Information Evening for Expectant Parents’
at the Elisabeth Hospital in Essen, a blessing ceremony takes place. With music, space to share what’s on your minds, and a personal word of blessing, we’ll encourage you: greater hands are holding you and your child!
Please do come along – whether on your own, with your best friend, as a couple, with grandparents and siblings, or as a rainbow family – we look forward to seeing you!
The events take place at 7.30 pm in the church at the Elisabeth Hospital in Essen (accessible via the hospital or through the entrance on Ruhrallee).
We are hosting this blessing ceremony in collaboration with the Catholic Church in Essen.
It is open to everyone and is free of charge and requires no registration!
Happy Birthday – we’re delighted for you that your child was born or has come to live with you. We’d like to celebrate this with you and others, and offer you God’s blessing.
Eight times a year, we organise blessing ceremonies for newborns and their
loved ones. You’re invited to church spaces where babbling, crying
and rocking are all allowed. With music, space for whatever moves you, and a
personal moment of blessing, we’ll celebrate your little blessing.
Please do come along – siblings and grandparents, rainbow families and foster families are all welcome too!
