Hello, my name is Eva. I’m in my early 40s, married, have two children, and am a pastor through and through. I’m delighted to be able to share blessings in Essen and to celebrate life. Because I firmly believe that we need blessings, especially in and for our everyday lives! ‘Life needs blessings’ is my motto.
I had a particularly formative experience of blessing at the bedside of a terminally ill woman. I married her and her husband and baptised their two young children. At that bedside, life in all its fullness was present: the love of the couple and their family, the new beginning embodied by their lively little children, but also farewell, suffering and death were there. The moment was sustained and accompanied by the blessing of God’s infinite love. And so, in that blessing, there was hope for love, life and death.
Hello, my name is Jule and I love my often hectic life. I live in Essen with my family and have been a pastor for seven years. Accompanying people through the highs and lows of their lives and experiencing God right in the midst of it all – that’s what my heart beats for.
Receiving a blessing has been important to me personally at many moments in my life. When moving to a new town, at our wedding, when I was in hospital whilst pregnant, or standing at a grave – in all these situations, it gave me strength and comfort when someone told me what I couldn’t say to myself: ‘God is here. Be blessed!’
Hello, my name is Silke and I’m delighted to be joining the Segen45 team after many years working in agencies.
Until recently, the world of the church and blessings was somewhat unfamiliar to me, and I’m amazed and delighted to see just how much there is to discover when it comes to Spirit & Soul. Letting go, feeling alive, finding trust, support and comfort. Community, solidarity – all fascinating and topical subjects! That’s why I’m delighted to provide the best possible service for personalised blessing ceremonies and to help develop new and vibrant formats for blessings. For those special moments in our lives (because blessings are always welcome!)

Hello, my name is Henrike and I’m really keen to get to know you – all of you – and to have lots of new experiences.
Essen is now my new home. And I chose it because I love the Ruhr region. Because the people here wear their hearts on their sleeves. Honest, open and direct!
That’s exactly how I want to bestow God’s blessing upon you, because for me that’s exactly what it is: honest, open and direct! It rests openly upon each and every one of us. I became a pastor so that God’s blessing might be made visible time and time again!
That’s why I’m particularly delighted to be part of the Segen45 team.
Hello, I’m Birte, in my mid-40s, a communications and media studies graduate, and I’m in charge of public relations at Segen45. But I get just as much pleasure from brainstorming ideas for events and other Segen initiatives with our team.
For me, Segen is a constant reminder that there is someone walking alongside me. That, ultimately, a great deal is not in my hands at all, and that I am allowed to hand things over and let go. Segen is God’s promise that she wants to walk with me through life – in good times and in difficult times. And the greatest thing is that I am allowed to pass this promise on to others.
